The BIM model comes to the site. And into the ERP.
Upload your IFC files to Restruct and view the 3D BIM model right in your browser.
Explore the model's structure, move between storeys and elements, select objects and read their IFC properties inside the same ERP you use to manage sites, bills of quantities, accounting, documents and the rest of your company.
A BIM viewer built into the ERP for construction companies, designed to bring the digital model closer to how the job is actually run.
The model is no longer just an IFC file.
A BIM model holds much more than its three-dimensional picture.
Buildings, storeys, elements, materials, classifications and properties make up an information structure that the people running the work must be able to look up too.
The Restruct BIM viewer lets you open and navigate models right inside the ERP.
Rotate the model.Zoom in on the elements.Explore the structure.Select what you need.Read the information available.
BIM should not be a file to open. It should be one more source of information about the site.
View IFC files right in your browser.
Restruct includes an IFC viewer so the company can look at BIM models without leaving its own working environment.
Upload the IFC file to the BIM project and Restruct processes it to make it available in the 3D IFC viewer.
Once processing is complete, the model can be opened right from the browser.
No more switching between the management software and a separate viewer just to look at the job's model.

- 3D model
See the building before you even look for a piece of data.
The 3D BIM viewer lets you explore the model's geometry through an interactive view.
You can move through space, look at the project from different angles and select the elements of the model directly.
A beam is not just a shape.A wall is not just a surface.A plate is not just geometry.
In BIM, every element can carry information with it.
With Restruct you can go from the three-dimensional view to the object you are looking at.
Click an element. Read what the model knows about it.
Every BIM element can hold information from the software the model was made with.
When you select an object in the BIM viewer, Restruct shows the IFC information available for it.
IFC class · Name · GUID · Type · Building · Storey · Material
Classifications and other information when the model includes them.
So the IFC viewer does not just show geometry: it lets you query the elements the model is made of.
From the model to the element. From the element to the information.
Geometry tells you what is there. Properties tell you what it is.
The IFC format was created for the structured exchange of information about the objects that make up a BIM model.
That is why Restruct keeps the available IFC properties within reach while you look at the model.
Select an element in the viewer and read the information attached to it, without having to treat the model as a plain 3D picture.
The data stays linked to the object it belongs to.
And it is precisely this relationship between geometry and information that makes a BIM model different from an ordinary three-dimensional model.
A building is not a list of objects.
An IFC model keeps its own organisation.
Restruct lets you navigate that structure through a BIM model tree, making it easier to go from the overall view to individual elements.
Selection in the tree and in the 3D model work together.
You can find an element in the structure and recognise it in the model, or select it directly in 3D and trace back its information.
Two ways of exploring the same model.
- Building
- Storey
- Elements
A model belongs to a project.
In Restruct, BIM is not handled as a folder full of unconnected IFC files.
You can create BIM projects, organise their models and keep a structure that matches the work the company is running.
Each project becomes the place to reach its BIM models and their revisions.
This keeps even jobs with several models, or that change over time, in order.
- Project
- Models
- Revisions
- Viewer
Each project can have more than one BIM model.
A job can be made of information from different disciplines and activities.
That is why a BIM project in Restruct can hold several models, each identified and organised within the project.
When you create a new model you can set its details and keep its evolution separate over time.
The project stays one.The models can be different. And each model keeps its own revisions.
The model changes. Its history should not disappear.
An updated IFC file does not have to erase what came before.
Restruct manages BIM model revisions, keeping the sequence of uploads in the project.
When a new version of the model is produced, you can add it while keeping the history of earlier revisions.
The model keeps evolving without losing its history inside the ERP.
And when you need to look at an earlier revision, it is still there in the project.

Upload the model. Even when the file is large.
IFC files can get much heavier than an ordinary business document.
That is why Restruct's BIM upload was designed to transfer models separately from ordinary attachments.
You can follow the progress during the upload.
If the upload is interrupted, Restruct can resume the missing parts of the same file without necessarily starting again from zero.
Once the upload is complete, the model goes through the processing it needs before the BIM viewer can use it.
- Upload
- Processing
- Model ready
- Viewer
From an IFC file to a model ready to explore.
Uploading a model is only the first step.
Once the file is received, Restruct processes it to prepare what is needed to view and navigate it in the browser.
The processing status stays visible in the BIM project.
So you know whether a revision is waiting, processing, ready, or whether the process ran into a problem.
When processing ends, the revision can be opened in the BIM viewer.
The model belongs to the same job you are already managing.
This is one of the most important differences between simply having an IFC viewer and having BIM inside Restruct.
A BIM project can be linked to its construction site.
The digital model is no longer confined to a technical program kept apart from the rest of the business.
From the site's page you can find its linked BIM projects and go from managing the job to looking at the model.
BIM thus starts to become part of the job's information structure.

One project. Two ways of looking at it.
On one side there is the real construction site.
People, works, documents, costs, materials, activities and progress.
On the other there is the digital model.
Buildings, storeys, elements, geometry and IFC properties.
Restruct brings both kinds of information into the same ERP.
Today you can link the BIM project to the site and look up its models, revisions, elements and properties.
And it is from this relationship that an ever more integrated management of BIM and site can grow.
An open format, so the site is not tied to a single program.
The IFC — Industry Foundation Classes format is used to exchange BIM models and information between different applications.
Restruct uses IFC files as the entry point for viewing BIM models inside the ERP.
This lets you work on the model exported from the design process without turning Restruct into BIM authoring software.
The designer keeps using their own tools.
The company can receive the IFC model and look at it in the system it uses to run the job.
BIM enters the ERP through an interoperable format.
We do not want to replace the software the building is designed with.
Restruct was not built to model walls, structures or building services.
There are dedicated BIM design tools for that.
Restruct's role is different:
bringing the BIM model into the running of the company.
Receive the IFC file.Organise it in its project.Keep its revisions.View the model.Explore the elements.Read the information.Link it to the site.
The designer keeps designing.
Restruct takes that model to where the job is managed.
Viewing the model is the starting point.
A BIM viewer is useful when it lets you see and query the model.
But Restruct is an ERP.
Our goal is not to turn BIM into an isolated feature bolted onto the management software.
The model belongs to the same reality as bills of quantities, works, documents, costs, daily reports, staff, materials and the job's progress.
That is why BIM was built right inside Restruct.
The digital model should not live apart from the data needed to build it.
BIM is part of the job. Not a separate application.
Restruct is an ERP for construction companies that brings the company's main activities together in one system.

- And now BIM projects and models too
This means you do not necessarily have to leave the environment where you are already managing the job to look at an IFC model.
One ERP. From administrative data to the BIM model.
BIM is not only for the people who design.
Architects, engineers and BIM specialists work with models every day.
But during construction, that information can also help the company that has to turn the project into a real building.
That is why BIM for construction companies should not stop at producing the model.
It has to make it accessible while the job is being run too.
Restruct brings the IFC viewer right into the ERP the company uses, keeping the BIM project linked to its site.
From the designed model to the work to be done.
The BIM model, right from Restruct.
Restruct's online BIM viewer works right inside the web application.
Once the revision is ready, you can open the model from the BIM project and start exploring it.
An interface designed to move quickly from the overall view of the model to the information about a single object.
Open. Explore. Select. Read.
Because BIM means Building Information Modeling.
The value of the model is not just in seeing a building in three dimensions.
It is in the information attached to the objects it is made of.
That is why the Restruct BIM viewer puts both the geometry and the data in the IFC file at the centre.
When you select an element you can go from its position in the model to the information that describes it.
It is this combination that lets you use the model as more than a simple 3D preview.
Seeing the model is useful.Querying it is far more so.
BIM, IFC and digital models: what to know.
What is a BIM viewer?
A BIM viewer is software that lets you view and query a BIM model without necessarily using the program it was originally made with. The Restruct BIM viewer lets you explore the 3D model and look up the elements and IFC information available, right inside the ERP.
What is an IFC viewer?
An IFC viewer can read models in the IFC format and show their geometry and information. Restruct includes an IFC viewer in its BIM module so companies can look at the models linked to their sites.
Can I view IFC files with Restruct?
Yes. You can upload an IFC file to a Restruct BIM project. The file is processed and, when the revision is ready, it can be opened in the BIM viewer.
Can I open a BIM model right in the browser?
Yes. The online BIM viewer is part of the Restruct web application and lets you navigate the 3D model right in your browser.
Can I look up the properties of IFC elements?
Yes. By selecting an element in the model or in its structure you can look up the IFC properties available for that object.
Can I navigate the structure of the IFC model?
Yes. Restruct shows the IFC model tree, so you can navigate the structure and select the elements on each level of the model.
Can I manage several BIM models in the same project?
Yes. A Restruct BIM project can hold several models, keeping the structure of the job in order.
Does Restruct manage BIM model revisions?
Yes. Each model can have several BIM revisions, keeping the history of the versions uploaded over time.
Can I link a BIM project to a construction site?
Yes. BIM projects can be linked to the sites in Restruct, so you can go from managing the job to its models.
Is Restruct BIM software?
Restruct is an ERP for construction companies with built-in BIM features. It is not BIM authoring software: it lets you manage BIM projects and revisions, upload IFC models, view them in 3D, explore their structure and look up their elements and available properties.
Is Restruct an IFC viewer?
The IFC viewer is one of Restruct's BIM features. Unlike a standalone IFC viewer, the model sits inside the ERP and can be organised in projects linked to sites.
What is the difference between BIM and IFC?
BIM is a method for managing information about a building throughout its life cycle. IFC, on the other hand, is an open format used to represent and exchange BIM model data between different programs.
What is BIM on site for?
During construction, BIM on site lets you use the digital model as the information reference for the building. With Restruct the BIM project can be linked to the site, so the company can look up the model, its structure and elements inside the same ERP.
Can a construction company use BIM even if it does not create the models itself?
Yes. The company can receive an IFC model produced by the designers or by others involved in the job and use an IFC viewer to look at it, without having to be the model's author.
Do I have to install a separate program to use the Restruct BIM viewer?
No. The BIM viewer is part of the Restruct web application and opens right from its project.
